They're growing up so fast.

I hope you all have a great time over the holidays. I sure did. Took a little break from blogging to focus on the schoolwork and some other projects, but school mostly had my time.
Currently at a mid point in my study career, and it is a career. I take on school at full force, little to no work on the side, and it pays of in things worth much more than any amount of cash would give.
I'm getting closer and closer to the realization that programming languages are just tools. When I was younger I did not think that, not at all. Either you had the right language or you were a nobody and people scoffed at the languages that were lacking in some way.
I think it's a way to measure maturity in a programmer.
Another thing I wish I could do more is dive right into solving a problem of a certain type, just to stay in shape, but usually it needs too much preparation to be deemed worth doing quickly. When you're working on a project you need to have this skill warm and ready.
I've looked at the coding contests and sites like project euler but have not found what I'm thinking about. Perhaps one day I will find a way to keep the programming problem solving muscles in shape everyday and then I will share it with you.
Not much in this post, just hope you guys have a great time over the holidays and I'll see you in the new year.
